ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), and Human Development Index (HDI) on employment absorption in East Java Province during the period 2015–2023 using a panel data regression analysis model. This approach provides an overview of the behavior of these variables across several time periods and examines the influence of the independent variables both partially through the t-test and simultaneously through the F-test on the dependent variable. In addition, the study measures the extent to which the independent variables affect the dependent variable. The estimation results indicate that the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) has a significant and positive effect on employment absorption in East Java Province. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) does not have a significant positive effect on employment absorption in East Java Province. Meanwhile, the Human Development Index (HDI) has a significant and positive effect on employment absorption in East Java Province.

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh UMK, PDRB dan IPM terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Provinsi Jawa Timur Tahun 2015-2023 dengan model penelitian adalah analisis regresi data panel. diperoleh gambaran perilaku beberapa objek tersebut selama beberapa periode waktu dan melihat bagaimana pengaruh variabel independen secara parsial melalui uji t dan secara simultan melalui uji F terhadap variabel dependen. Serta, mengetahui seberapa besar presentase variabel independen dalam penelitian ini memengaruhi variabel dependen. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa UMK berpengaruh signifikan dan berhubungan positif terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Provinsi Jawa Timur, PDRB tidak berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Provinsi Jawa Timur dan IPM berpengaruh signifikan dan berhubungan positif terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja di Provinsi Jawa Timur
